Choosing a Double Umbrella Stroller

When shopping for a double umbrella stroller it is important to consider your family's needs and preferences. This will allow you to narrow down your options and focus on the most essential features.

The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 is an excellent, upscale double umbrella stroller that's manufactured well and folds up compactly. It comes with big umbrellas and a large storage bin and is easy to maneuver.

Lightweight

The best double umbrella strollers offer a lot of functionality in a light, compact package. They're not as heavy as a typical jogger or stroller, and they're usually smaller when folded. They lack the bells and whistles that you'll find on large strollers, but they usually come with large canopy and plenty of storage space and reclined seats.

A lightweight double umbrella stroller is a popular option for families who travel together. It's easy to fold, fits in the majority of trunks and airline carry-on bags, and is the best option for navigating the narrow streets and narrow doors. It's also less expensive than an extra-featured "travel stroller" that you could take for walks on a daily basis.

Some of the top double strollers, like the UPPAbaby G-Link 2 have features you won't find on cheaper models. This double umbrella stroller has hanging storage pockets as well as tray for snacks and toys in each seat and two cupholders for parents. The sleek design makes this double umbrella stroller one of the most compact available. It also comes with an extra-wide canopy to safeguard both seats.

Other options that are lightweight such as the Joovy Kooper X2, offer more bells and whistles than you'd expect from a double stroller umbrella, including a more comfy ride for both kids thanks to padded seats as well as a higher recline for each seat. It's important to keep in mind, though, that the more features you select the more your stroller will weigh. Additionally, due to the way that strollers are able to open and close, you'll want to be cautious not to let tiny fingers get caught on hinges or frames, especially when your child is in either seat.

Compact

The tiniest double umbrella strollers that fold are easy to maneuver and fit in tight spaces. These strollers are an excellent choice for parents who will often use them on sidewalks, shopping malls or to get around tourist destinations like the zoo and aquarium. These compact, lightweight strollers are also great for commuting, or as a backup to a larger stroller that has more features while traveling.

There are two types of lightweight double umbrellas: those that have very few features, and those that come with a variety of comfort and convenience options in addition to their compact size. Some of the better examples include large pop-out umbrellas with SPF 50 and peekaboo windows, padding seats, 5-point safety harnesses in both seats with reclining seats, as well as adjustable leg rests. You should also think about whether you want a car seat attachment or a tray for the parent and the amount of storage space that is available in each seat.

The Delta Children LX Double Umbrella is a light, low-cost umbrella that is extremely affordable. The stroller weighs only 18 lbs, has an easy-to-carry strap and can be easily stored in the trunk of your vehicle or front hall closet. The front wheels are made of precise and can swivel to give you an easier ride and smoother steering. The new Kinderwagon Hop is a tandem umbrella stroller that has a narrow width, which is also ultralight and easy to maneuver through doorways. This model was out of production for a few years but is returning and worth looking into. It also has a larger three-panel canopy for improved sun protection over the smaller, basic models in this review.

Easy to Fold

The most basic umbrella strollers fold down like an umbrella, and they weigh less than other kinds. They are easy to lift, carry and store away which makes them perfect for when you aren't able to carry your full-size pram for whatever reason (traveling by plane, touring in a new country, visiting grandma). These strollers are usually not as feature-rich as full-featured models, but they should offer the basics including storage and a sun canopy.

The most recent version of the UPPAbaby G-Link 2 is lighter and narrower than its predecessor, with an improved front wheel that increases the maneuverability and pushability. It's a great choice for a double stroller. And it's Disney-approved!

A double tri-folded stroller such as the Joovy Kooper X2 offers all the convenience and ease of use of an umbrella stroller within a body similar to a large-sized stroller. This kind of stroller is replacing the standard double umbrella stroller. It's probably the ideal choice if you're seeking a light, flexible stroller.

The majority of double umbrella strollers we recommend are side-by-side models. The Kinderwagon Hop is an umbrella tandem stroller that's lightweight, easy to fold and relatively narrow. This is a great option for those looking for a simple budget double umbrella stroller that you can easily put in your trunk for quick trips. It comes with two storage bins that hang from the bags on the back of each seat, as well as cup holders for the parents. It's so bare bones, it might not allow your kids to get through an airport without getting them cranky, but it will to make the trip more comfortable.

Comfortable Seats

The majority of umbrella strollers don't come with many bells and whistles since they only have one purpose: to take two children from one place to the other. They usually have comfortable, spacious seats, but they don't have recline options or all-terrain wheels.

The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 is the exception. It is a compact and lightweight double umbrella stroller that has two seats weighing only 18 pounds. This makes it a great choice for travelers. It has a great suspension, a massive three-panel canopy that shields kids from the sun, and a decent amount of storage space in both seats, but not as many as our top choices. It has 5-point safety belts in both seats, as well as a peek-a-boo window in the canopy.

The G-Link isn't equipped with the bellybar or snack tray we'd love to see on our top choices. However, these features aren't essential for an umbrella stroller. Like all umbrella strollers, the G-Link must be handled with care to avoid fingers getting caught in the hinges and mechanisms.

In most double umbrella strollers, the seats are side-by-side. However there are models that feature inline seating (one seat in front of the other). Inline models are more easy to maneuver through doorways than models with side by sides, but their seating arrangements can cause your children to argue over which is the best seat. This issue was pretty evenly split between our previous test subjects and it boils down to an individual choice.

Safety

When choosing a stroller for your child, safety is the most important consideration. The design of the double stroller umbrella can affect its performance. Some models are close to offering the same level of safety as full-sized double strollers. These strollers usually have 5-point harnesses, calf and feet rests for children, as well being able to extend UPF 50+ sunvisor. They are usually also smaller and lighter than other double umbrella strollers which makes them easier to maneuver through tight spaces like airports or streets in cities.

Some models, such as the Kinderwagon Hop, are side-by-sides and are easy to push through small spaces. This stroller is an excellent option for parents who are traveling with their children and need a fast and convenient method of getting around. It's also small enough to fit in a trunk.

The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 is another model worth looking into. It is among the lightest  double stroller s we have tested. It has a very robust design for an umbrella-style product and features a large, accessible storage basket, reclining seats, and a peek-a-boo view.  double pram pushchair  can also hold 35 lbs and is able to meet Disney stroller dimensions.

Other models, such as the Jeep PowerGlide Double Stroller, might be simpler in design and do not include as many features. They are light and can be used for backups or for occasional travel. They are also much cheaper than renting a stroller for the duration of a trip or vacation. They are also easy to carry, lift and fold.
